Luf·ti·kus
/ˈlʊftikʊs, Lúftikus/·german noun, depreciative
Someone who gives the impression of being careless, dreamy, unfocused.
Luftikus Games is not about achieving business figures. It's not about reaching a particularly large player base. It's about letting yourself drift and shaping the process of video game development in such a way that you can enjoy it — so that, at the end of the journey, a product is created that gives other people a good time.

Background
I used to write screenplays, direct short films, and I worked in that industry for a while. After some bumps in the road I decided to give in to my second passion and studied computer science.
Video games had always fascinated me, from the point my eyes witnessed the art of Anno 1602 and Stronghold Crusader on my CRT monitor in my parent's basement. After my first baby steps in some game jams and university projects the idea of one day developing them professionally took a huge toll on my freetime budget.
That's why I dove into the art and craft behind it, pursue it part-time and eventually decided to give the journey a name: Luftikus Games. A mantra to my present and future self: always chase the fun in the process. If I'm not having fun making a game, nobody will have fun playing it.
